High-Power Motor Purchase Requirements

The sale of 'G' motors and larger and all model and high power RMS reload kits to persons under 18 years of age is currently prohibited by federal law. Individuals must be 18 years of age to purchase high power hardware. Proof of age (such as a copy of a driver's license) must accompany all orders for 'G' and larger motors and all RMS reload kits. The consumer must be a current member in either the National Association of Rocketry or Tripoli Rocketry Association and be certified Level 1 (H,I), or Level 2 (J,K,L), or Level 3 (M,N,O) high power user, 18 years of age or older to purchase all high power reload kits.

Please note that orders requiring additional documentation cannot be shipped without a copy of a NAR or Tripoli Rocketry Association Level Certification card, or evidence (business license or purchase order on company or school letterhead) that you are a legitimate business or academic customer.

The RRC2L is the perfect middle of the road dual-deployment altimeter, bridging the gap between switches and beeps and a laptop computer or smart device. The "L" in the name indicates the unit is LCDT Ready, providing comprehensive, human readable flight data analytics coupled with a powerful subset of recovery and flight controls inherited from the RRC3.

The RRC2L has a "pushbutton programmable main" altitude setting so it can perform standard dual deployment duties fully stand alone without the LCD, allowing you to upgrade operations when you're ready. This single, simple setting also makes it a perfect introductory dual deployment unit, fulfilling its "buy and fly" mission.

The new 4th deployment mode (Main Output Control Sequence settings) provide an extremely flexible and capable collection of advanced control options, allowing users to create a custom control sequence using the MAIN Event output while still providing an independent and autonomous standard drogue event for recovery.

The RRC2L now features upgraded "IntelliFET" event outputs, making them fully compatible with the latest lithium battery technologies. You’ll experience longer run times, improved power density, and on-demand lithium power, letting you push your rockets to the limit. And fear not, 9-Volt batteries will continue to provide reliable performance with all our RRC2 altimeters.
